NIA Artisans was born precisely in this way.
The project takes shape from a deep connection with Kenya and, in particular, with Malindi, a place where cultures, traditions, and creativity intertwine daily. Over time, what was initially a personal relationship with this territory transformed into a desire to create something more: a bridge between highly talented local artists and an international audience capable of appreciating their value.

to give visibility to authentic African art and craftsmanship, allowing artists to tell their stories and make their work known beyond local borders.

🎨 The encounter with the artists
One of the first steps on this journey was the meeting with Stejoh, a painter active in Malindi.
His works are characterized by intense colors, expressive figures, and a personal style capable of narrating daily African life. His paintings reveal faces, gestures, and emotions that reflect the vitality of local communities.
Each canvas thus becomes a small story: a glimpse into contemporary Kenyan life.
Alongside this collaboration, a relationship was also established with Pendeza, a project dedicated to creativity and artistic craftsmanship. The name itself recalls the concept of beauty and appreciation, central elements in African artistic culture.
Through these collaborations, NIA Artisans aims to enhance both contemporary painting and traditional craftsmanship, highlighting the talent and manual skills of the artists.
